Amazon are currently in the process of testing the redesign of its website, making the user journey cleaner and less cluttered. With the site containing more white space and a larger search/buttons (perfect for browsing on a tablet).
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal – Sally Fouts said:
“We are continuing to roll out the new design to additional customers, I can’t speculate on when the new design will be live for everyone.”
This is definitely a trend that will continue with ecommerce stores, reducing the clutter as tablet sales continue to increase.
