The launch of Flare Calendars web site marked diversification into another facet of the business.
Technical Director Tommy Fullerton said "It's been many weeks in the making and has taken a great deal of time from all of the team." The objective of the site was to produce competitively priced quality calendars without having to go through a complicated online ordering process.
The web site used a combination of design, language and e-commerce to enable clients to create unique personalised calendars using either Flares gallery of images or by uploading their own images. Once uploaded the purchase could be completed by using the Protx secure UK payment gateway.
Once the web site went live we immediately started getting enquiries and all feedback was very positive with visitors liking its simplicity and functionality.
The web site was search engine optimised and supported by a daily Pay Per Click campaign which jointly helped bring the site to page one for many searches.
The web sites success has helped the Flare team have a much clearer understanding of running an e-commerce web site and this can only help when developing projects for clients. If you are thinking of having calendars produced for 2009 why not beat the mad end of year rush and get ahead of the game and even secure one of the best deals around.
