Petal Perfection

Based in Southampton, Petal Perfection is a small floral business run by Ali McManus. Her expertise, enthusiasm and hands-on involvement in the business on a daily basis are the company’s biggest assets, so we built the site content around the benefits that Ali’s skills can bring to a wedding, home or business whenever flowers are on the agenda.

We designed Ali’s web site as a ‘brochure site’ that showcases her differing service offers. As you’d expect, the site is a riot of colour on every page, and there is a gallery showing the amazing variety of floral designs that Ali and her team have created. The gallery offers a selection of mini pictures that can be scanned through quickly, and selected ones can be enlarged for a closer look. Although the web site is largely static, it does offer the ability to respond to the changing seasons and to highlight special occasions as they occur throughout the year. Recently, for example, a special Valentine’s Day page was added during the run-up to the day, and then removed once the day had passed.

For making those kinds of temporary changes and occasional updates, a full-scale Content Management System (CMS) would be overkill, so instead Ali takes advantage of our technical support ticket system. This economical option enables clients to cash-in annually purchased technical support tickets as and when required, rather than paying a regular ongoing CMS charge for services that would only be used from time-to-time.
